Debut of Mogilev Photographers

The participants of Mogilev Photostudio took part in the exhibition of Hanukkah candleholders, arranged by the Israeli Cultural Center under the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Republic of Belarus. Besides photos, there were shown Hanukkah candleholders created by craftsmen from Israel. Original pictures of still life with Hanukkah attributes made by the photo studio “Maor”(“Svet och”) participants were displayed at the unusual exhibition. The studio in Mogilev Jewish community was supported by the Representative Office of the AJJDC in the Republic of Belarus. It was a very successful debut of studio members.

The photo studio “Maor” directed by Alexander Litin was open in September 2009. Generally students, senior pupils and young specialists attend the studio. At present moment studio members are preparing for the photo contest “Jewish Mogilev” organized by the Jewish community of the city. An exhibition of the best works will be organized in the city drama theatre in February.
